On Saturday, September 20th, 2008 from 11:00am-12:00pm, toddlers ages 2-4 and their parents will celebrate National Dog Week by making a canine craft, reading a doggie story and coloring a puppy picture! On Saturday, September 6th, 2008 from 11:00am-12:30pm, children ages 5-12 will celebrate the start of school by decorating their own pencil case, ruler and mini-notebook. Sinai Reform Temple of Bay Shore is having a yard sale on Sunday, June 8 starting at 10:00 am and running through 3:00 pm.

A wide variety of items will be offered for sale – clothing, appliances, knick knacks, books, and toys. Also, the Temple Thrift Shop will be open.

All proceeds benefit Sinai Reform Temple and its community service activities.

There is an upcoming music event happening in Bay Shore, NY. Big Meat is a CT based act that plays a genuine mix of funk, rock, and improvisation. Recently voted band of the month by gratefulweb.net, Big Meat is fresh off an east coast tour from FL to CT. The band has performed recently at Harvest Fest and the Cypress Spook Festival, where they added to their history of on stage shenanigans by playing a Super Mario Bros. Halloween show that included nine Super Mario Bros. musical themes. This summer they will be playing at festivals along side acts such as Tea Leaf Green, New Monsoon, and Particle.
