I lived in Bay Shore in 1967 to 1973.I can say that it was a different place in the 70s and 60s!I loved living there it was a beautifiul place to grow up As a youth!Remember watching the brady bunch and having a multicultural life which made me tolerant of other people from other walks of life actually i miss living in Bay shore and think of it often as a favorite memory.Remember Mary G Clarkson school ,The music of Santana,My neighborhood baseball team The Santam court sluggers Bell bottoms And Music In the streets And Block parties Every year. Even coming from The hood. All My Friends from this era I miss!Love Bay shore And It Was Sad to leave Such a Good place to grow up In!My Life has changed alot since then but I fondly think Of the santam court Alot!Street games And all, Pete!Say HI!

HI!!! I CAN'T ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, BUT I CAN TELL YOU THAT I LEFT BAY SHORE A WHILE AGO, AND SINCE I MOVED TO WHERE I AM NOW, I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW MANY NEW YORKERS ARE FOLLOWING. I LIVE IN NASHVILLE, TN. NOW, AND IT'S AMAZING HOW MUCH MORE HOUSE YOU CAN GET DOWN HERE. AND THE TAXES ARE LAUGHABLE. I OWN TEN ACRES DOWN HERE, AND MY TAXES JUST WENT UP TO 1300.00 A YEAR. YOU CAN BUY A BRAND NEW CUSTOM BUILT HOME DOWN HERE FOR UNDER 300,000.00. AND IF YOU DON'T WANT A CUSTOM HOME; IF YOU JUST WANT A TYPICAL 3BD., 2 BTH, YOU CAN GET A BRAND NEW ONE WITH FIREPLACE, WOOD FLOORS, AND A 2 CAR GARAGE FOR AROUND 140,000.00

SO THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION COULD BE THAT LOTS OF PEOPLE ARE DECIDING TO LEAVE N.Y. ALTOGETHER FOR GREENER PASTURES. (AND GREENER POCKETS!!!)

Hi,

I live in West Bay Shore behind Lowe's. Riding around town all I see if for sale signs. Is something going on in Bay Shore. It is making me very nervous. Or have the taxes gotten out of hand. What is your take on the situation.

Thanks.

My husband and I are looking to buy a house in Bayshore and driving around, we noticed a few for sale on N. Clinton Ave, south of Sunrise Highway. What is your opinion on this as an area for first time homebuyers? We appreciate any advice as we're not too familiar with the area.
